The new LVCM-051-051-06 Linear Voice Coil Motor has been designed with a larger radial air gap to tolerate the tilting and misalignment that can be experienced when clamping out of parallel objects or moving off-center loads. This compact linear motor is 2.000 in (50.8 mm) in dia. with a 2.00 in. (50.8 mm) long housing and at mid stroke is just 2.88 in. (73.0 mm).  Peak force is 9.5 lb (42.2N) at a 10% duty cycle and continuous force is 3.0 lb (13.3 N). Features of this low inertia, high acceleration / deceleration, clean, efficient, zero cogging, brushless voice coil servo motor makes it ideal for: Sorting, packaging, sampling, work holding and clamping, laser machining and drilling, wafer handling, and medical and pharmaceutical applications.

Motion Control – Miniature Hollow Core Rotary Stage

This high precision miniature size rotary stage is just 35 mm (1.378 in.) high and the footprint including the standard 2-phase 1.8 degree stepper motor is only 58 mm (2.283 in) by 100.5 mm (3.957 in ). The table has a precision pattern of 6 8-M2x4L threaded mounting holes in the rotary table for fixtures or tooling, and an 8 mm (0.315 in) diameter through hole. The LVCM-025-022-01 has a stroke length of 0.375 in. (9.5 mm) a mid-stroke length of 1.30 in. (33 mm) and it has a high force to size ratio of 16.9 oz (4.7 N) and a peak force of 53.5 oz. (14.9 N) at 10% duty cycle. The LVCM-025-029-01 has a stroke length of 0.625 in. (15.9 mm) a mid-stroke length of 1.68 in. Each axis features: Low backlash worm gear drives and precision “V” groove and cross roller bearings for high accuracy and repeatability. The typical accuracy is 0.05° equal to 180 arcsec and typical repeatability is +/- 0.01° equal to +/- 36 arcsec. The maximum travel speed of each axis is 45° per second.
